Practice Pieces

Hello Darlings!!

These pieces are some practice pieces I did way back but I am still super proud of them.

The deer piece was a recommendation from a coworker who suggested I draw the natural wildlife here in Utah. I went with the Mule Deer because I almost hit one on the way home that day and it was like a sign from the universe that I needed to draw him. I decided to put a lot of detail into the eyes because I have always wanted to try detailed eyes and I have always loved deer eyes.

The second piece was just a practice piece for fire. I had never drawn it before and I wanted to try my hand at it. I was very happy with how it turned out and I have definitely gotten better.

The third piece was more of a dream I had. I have always thought cats were a little creepy but this cat took the cake. I don't know what made his so creepy, the purple fur or the big eyes. All I know is that when I woke up, I needed to draw it. It gave me an opportunity to try my hand at fur.
